I’m Qiming, a calligraphy enthusiast who loves both the art of Chinese writing and studying traditional writing materials. My journey with brush calligraphy began in childhood, inspired by my grandfather’s influence.
In 2013, I started formal training with professional calligraphy teachers. Since then, I’ve been sharing calligraphy knowledge and insights about traditional writing tools through my Sina blog “Teacher Qiming in Beijing.” I’ve written nearly 300 articles on calligraphy and writing materials, which has attracted many fellow calligraphy lovers. My blog has received over 10 million visits.
In 2016, encouraged and supported by calligraphy enthusiasts, I left my job at New Oriental Beijing to open the Qiming Wenfang Taobao store, dedicating myself fully to this business.
In 2019, responding to requests from overseas calligraphy friends, I expanded to Amazon US and Canada stores, achieving remarkable success. Today, Qiming Wenfang products are popular across mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Europe, and North America, establishing itself as a well-respected brand in traditional writing materials.
In 2025, I created this website to introduce calligraphy and traditional writing materials knowledge to Chinese calligraphy enthusiasts around the world.
